Ba Ria - Vung Tau - On February 17, the Provincial People's Committee said it had submitted to the Provincial Party Committee for consideration and selection of the plan to adjust the planning of Cai Mep Ha port area. Of the three options proposed, the Department of Transport has proposed to choose option 3 with the largest adjustment to implement.

Reporting on the planning, the Provincial Department of Transport has issued option 3 (which is the plan with the largest increase) with the planning contents including: planning the entire area into a container terminal, adjusting the additional dock planning at a part of the clean energy warehouse of nearly 198 hectares, additional adjustment of dock planning at the potential water area of nearly 137 hectares.
The total length plan of 19.6 km including Gemalink port of 1.52 km, Cai Mep Lower Finger container terminal 5.6 km, extending cai Mep Ha downstream pier out compared to the approved 1/2000 plan by 12.12 km.
The sectors also confirmed that the clean energy storage area of nearly 198 hectares is not currently in any planning, so it is necessary to adjust the 1/2000 planning at clean energy warehouses and potential water areas. The adjustment of the local planning of Cai Mep Downstream port falls under the competence of the Ministry of Transport to adjust the planning 1/2000 for the area of clean energy warehouses and potential water areas under the jurisdiction of the province.
